|
| Lagos is the largest city in Nigeria. Lagos Murtala Muhammed International airport is situated in the suburb of Ikeja, 22 km northwest of the city. A highway links the airport with the city centre and the journey takes 30 to 60 minutes depending on the traffic. It is recommended to hire a car and a driver, usually available from the major hotels and the airport. There are a lot of great beaches to see if you make an effort to get outside like Badagari and also lots of markets visit. Advice : Lagos is not for the novice traveller. Price negotiation is absolutely required. Having a personal contact is almost necessary to getting around. Travelling at night or in pre-light dawn is definitely not advised. Being relaxed, but eyes open, is the secret to Lagos – it is actually a fun city. |
