Barcelona is Spain's second largest city and the capital of Catalonia, one of the 17 regions that form Spain. The city has a wealth of unique historic architecture and has emerged as one of the most popular tourist destinations in Europe during the 1990s. You can get in by plane through many airlines. Barcelona International Airport is a major transport hub and fields flights from all over Europe and beyond. The airport is only about 10 km away from the city centre. Taxis, aerobus and train are the most common means of transport to the city centre. The Bus Turístic links all of the Barcelona tourist sites you could possibly want to visit or you can use the metro as well. The most spectacular sights in the night are: Musical fountains, in Plaça d'Espanya, Casa Batlló. Places to visit are: La Rambla, La Plaça Reial situated next to La Rambla. You can get food from any part of the world in Barcelona, but make sure you try some Catalan food.
