Saint Petersburg is Russia's second largest city and is a fascinating place that dazzles the eye with its architectural landmarks, museums, palaces, parks, wide avenues, spectacular bridges and stylish monuments. Pulkovo Airport serves a wide variety of destinations both international and domestic and is located approximately 17 km south from the centre. Taxis and buses are the most common means to get to the central district. It is hard to see everything in a short time in the city but some must see spots that are worth having a look are Hermitage Museum, Yusupov Palace, Spilled Blood, Catherine the Great and The Peter and Paul Fortress.
