Larnaca is a city in Cyprus and has a reasonable claim to being the oldest city in Cyprus. Most travelers first see Cyprus at Larnaka, which is the second port and the site of an international airport. Larnaca International Airport, located 6 km to the west of the city centre is Cyprus main international gateway. Taxis take 15 minutes to reach the city but there are also scheduled city buses. Amongst the attractions for holidaymakers in Cyprus, the many historical sights do not always rank that highly, but a visit to at least one of them. There is several water parks around the main resort towns, and include Watermania where you can relax in the biggest artificial wave pool in the world or you can visit the Larnaca Salt Lake.
